Keith Hughes
Keith is a qualified banker and HR professional... Keith started life as corporate banker before heading up Lloyds TSB’s Retail HR and Training Operation. In 1996 he left the Banking World and made the step change into the world of HR Consulting with the passionate belief that he would bring a degree of pragmatism to a profession that was known for theory, models and at times a lack of business realism. He therefore joined a leading HR Consultancy, CSA Management Consultants, to head up their Strategic Consulting Practice. Over the last 10 years he has held Board level positions with Empower (Manpower’s HR Strategic Consulting arm), Businesshr, Capital Consulting and now Bhr. During this time he has worked with many blue chip Companies primarily in the areas of HR Strategy and transformation, Change and Leadership Development
Keith is known for his pragmatic and business focussed approach which he brings to now well established Consultancy expertise. He is married with 2 children and is a keen water skier and Francophile.
Alan Birmingham
Alan has extensive international consulting experience gained across a variety of sectors. Previously Alan has undertaken senior consultancy roles with CSA Management Consultants, The Empower Group, an international HR consulting firm, and more latterly Capital Consulting where he was responsible for leading many Strategic Resourcing and OD projects.
Alan also coaches people with Career Change and leads Life Planning programmes on a one-to-one basis. He is retained by several clients to advise on and deliver career management support to senior teams and management groups within a variety of functional disciplines.
Alan has a broad commercial management background, with over 20 years experience in financial services where he directed and managed significant business portfolios.
Alan is also a qualified banker and a prominent member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has also acted as a non-executive director to a number of companies.
Alan maintains a keen interest in sports activities and regularly plays cricket and tennis as well as indulging in his passions for skiing and sailing.
Jon Whiteley
Jon focuses on growing, developing and delivering our range of Diversity interventions that create positive outcomes for clients. His work is known for leading outcomes that focus on improved cost management and income generation across business lines. In doing so, he has established and maintained key strategic relationships with national and international clients across all sectors.
Previously Jon was
Head of Diversity at LloydsTSB and a senior consultant with Pearn Kandola where he has been responsible for developing and implementing Diversity strategies in conjunction with many clients. He is known for introducing strong commercial cases for the development of Diversity strategies, which contribute significantly to strategic drivers and objectives.
He has produced leading edge Diversity Learning interventions for many clients; these have raised awareness and engagement levels as well as effecting behavioural change across all levels of organisations.
Jon sits on the Ministry of Defence Strategic Diversity Panel and is a member of several Diversity panels and Boards. He speaks regularly at conferences in the UK and Europe on the Business rationale for Diversity and the development and mainstreaming of Diversity Strategies. At the request of Personnel Today, Jon has recently written the “One Stop Guide to Managing Diversity” which guides organisations through the detailed implementation of Diversity Strategies.
Jon occupies his time outside of work with a young family, as well having a keen interest in several sports.
